Our Largest Custom-Made Hand-Tufted Rug Project
Every rug tells a story, but this one is unforgettable. It’s the largest custom-made hand-tufted rug we’ve ever created—a true art piece commissioned for UEM’s prestigious sales gallery.
A Unique Challenge
When we received the client’s request, we were excited to design and craft something extraordinary. The rug’s size and intricate design made it more than just a floor covering—it was a centrepiece. However, after completing the tufting, we realized it was too large to transport!
Creative Solutions
To solve this, we cut the rug into three sections for easier transport, then rejoined them seamlessly on-site. The results were flawless—the joins were completely invisible. The client was thrilled!
Precision Installation
Even after the rug was laid, challenges arose. A black border initially aligned perfectly, but additional furniture altered the dimensions. Our expert installers adjusted the border on-site, ensuring perfect alignment with the new layout.
Teamwork and Dedication
Installing this massive rug required over 10 installers to carry each roll, singing songs to motivate themselves through the heavy lifting. The team worked tirelessly, staying until 4 a.m., to deliver perfection.
A Show-Stopper
During installation, shoppers passing by couldn’t resist stopping to admire and photograph the rug, turning it into a mini-exhibit. We had to politely ask them to step aside so we could finish the job!
The Result
The client, consultants, and onlookers were all impressed with the stunning outcome. It wasn’t just a rug—it was a masterpiece that showcased our expertise and commitment.
